The health topic that will be discussed in this blog will include information on different foods and what kind of health benefits they have toward your life, both short-term and long-term. This is such an important issue that involves every single one of us. If we want to have long healthy lives as well as for our family's, we need to start paying more attention with what we consume. Many know that eating good healthy food helps us to lose weight, but there are many other health benefits that need to be noted.

Just as stated in Preventing Chronic Disease, eating healthy is central to preventing heart disease, a common killer amongst Americans in today's world. According to the American Heart Association, more than 73,000,000 people have high blood pressure, 16,000,000 suffer from heart disease, and 58,000,000 from stroke. These are the three highest killers in America and can all be traced back to poor exercise and eating habits. In order to get these numbers down, Americans need to eat more healthy and understand what certain foods are doing to their bodies. This blog is here to motivate us to realize the impacts of certain healthy foods, not just those that prevent many diseases, but that also give us better health in aspects we didn't know. Hopefully we will all learn something new about the food we take in and desire to eat healthier because of it.
